Gareth Lewis says it was an easy decision to make when he opted to join short-term finance lender MT Finance (MTF). And the new commercial director of the business adds that the opportunity to take up his new role comes at an exciting time.
Mr Lewis, previously director of bridging at Precise Mortgages, has made the switch and taken with him more than 14 years of experience in the short-term lending market. He previously held positions at Tiuta and Cheval Property Finance, before joining Precise Mortgages in 2011.
MTF has appointed Lewis as commercial director and handed him the responsibility of managing product development and recognising new propositions to help with the overall expediency of the lender’s expansion.
Director of MTF, Joshua Elash, has spoken of his pleasure at announcing the significant recruitment of such a distinguished operative. He said:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Gareth into the MTF family and, of course, we are really excited about the experience and expertise he brings with him.
“As we continue to grow and develop, Gareth will play a big part in our ongoing project of making MTF the market-leading specialist lender.”
Mr Lewis says it was an easy decision to make given that he knew all about MTF's key players and their abilities. He added:
“The opportunity to join MTF at this exciting time in its growth was an easy decision to make in all honesty.
"I have known Joshua, Tomer and the team for a number of years, and have always admired the way that they have worked and built their reputation within the short-term market. I really look forward to adding my experience to the team to help us evolve even further.”
The news comes hot on the heels of news that MTF has relocated to a bigger office space in London. The lender’s new office is located on the 9th Floor, Holborn Tower. Prior to the move, the company was based in Oxford Circus, where it had been based for the past three years.
It is hoped that the new office will allow an accommodation to increase in capacity and make sure it maintains the provision of excellent service to both brokers and clients. A spokesman explained:
“We have spent the last three years at Oxford Circus, but when we first moved in, there were six of us and plenty of room, now our team has grown considerably more, and space was getting a little tight.
“It has been an exciting few years for MTF, and we look at this new location as the start of another chapter in our company’s history.”
