Masthaven chief Matt Andrews says he is delighted to have appointed "three innovative individuals" to the company's mortgage team.
His assessment follows the recruitment of John Smith as national account manager for first charge mortgages, with David Owen and Wes Baker joining as business development managers.
He said: “We are delighted to have three innovative individuals on board in our mortgage team. As the bank continues to expand and develop its proposition, we are also working hard to build the right team with the best skills in place to take the business forward. With their collective experience of many years in the industry, they bring new energy to the bank; and the team is really looking forward to working with them”.
Of the new recruits, John began his career in the mortgage market at 16. After underwriting at Alliance & Leicester, he moved into a sales role at Platform Home Loans where he won a number of plaudits. After 10 years he joined Aldermore as a regional account manager and also helped launch Bluestone mortgages into the specialist mortgage market.
And Wes has worked in the financial services industry for 12 years, initially with Welcome Finance, managing combined teams of sales and collections and then at Evolution Money. At Masthaven Bank he will be covering the North of England, focusing on helping key accounts and new partners increase volumes and productivity across the first and second charge arena.
Meanwhile, David has worked in the financial services sector for over 16 years, across both residential and commercial sectors. Starting his career at NatWest, as a cashier, he worked his way up to become a mortgage advisor. After seven years he moved to Leeds Building Society and for the past two years he has been working in the specialist lending sector as BDManager at Together. At Masthaven he will be covering the West Midlands and South West of England working across the first and second charge arena.
