Andy Reid, the newly appointed director of sales at Oblix Capital, says he is incredibly excited at the prospect of taking up his new position.
He was speaking after the short-term specialist property lender made the announcement. Reid, who has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years, joins from Hampshire Trust Bank.
There he held the position of head of business development and was responsible for driving business through the commercial division and is said to have a proven track record in sales and relationship management.
Previous to that, he worked at Interbay for more than nine years, holding positions responsible for key relationships between partners and brokers.
He will now lead the sales department within Oblix, with the aim of driving new business and strengthening existing relationships. The appointment follows several recent hires at the rapidly growing lender who have focused on continuous service improvements as well as excelled propositions to their brokers. And he said:
"I am incredibly excited about joining Oblix Capital, a highly respected and significant business operating in the bridging and development sector. Whilst a relatively young company, the existing team have created a fantastic lending model combining a 'can do' attitude to meeting broker and client needs through pro-active decision making and a passion to deliver.
“I am thrilled at the opportunity to further develop and grow the business and will be working closely with Adam Powell, an industry friend and colleague of many years who is taking up the role of Director of Business Development"
Rishi Passi, CEO, Oblix Capital, says the appointment will bolster the sales team, adding:
“We are extremely happy to welcome Andy to Oblix, he is a great addition to our rapidly growing company and will further strengthen our sales team. Andy’s extensive experience and industry knowledge will play a vital role in helping us achieve our plans for expansion in 2018.”
