Nathan Mollett's exceptional track record in the asset finance industry is one of the key reasons behind his appointment to his new role at United Trust Bank (UTB).
He has been unveiled as the bank’s new head of asset finance with Harley Kagan, UTB's group managing director, confident Mollett is the man to drive the banks ambitious growth plans. Kagan states:
“Nathan has an exceptional track record in the Asset Finance industry and his success in growing Metro Bank’s asset finance business is testament to his experience, business acumen and leadership skills. We are aiming to grow UTB’s asset finance lending considerably.”
Mollett has enjoyed a highly successful asset finance career and boasts more than 20 years’ experience in the industry. Joining UTB from Metro Bank, where he has been director of their asset finance division since 2015, he is expected to take up his new position at UTB before the end of the year.
During five years at Metro Bank he led their asset finance business and was instrumental in growing the bank’s asset finance balances. This came after he spent 15 years with Wesleyan Bank as sales director.
Mollett is also a board director of The Leasing Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that sets out to support the business finance sector through innovation, the development of young people and diversity and inclusion.
Commenting on his appointment, Mollett spoke of his delight to be taking on such an exciting new role and also pointed out that the firm's desire for excellent customer service was something that impressed him significantly. He said:
“I am delighted to be joining United Trust Bank. I have been impressed by both their passion for customer service and commitment to the broker market. In asset finance they have a business with strong foundations, a great reputation with brokers and real potential to win a larger share of the market. I am excited about the opportunity and can’t wait to get started.”
Mollett joins UTB in the knowledge that it is an established, specialist lender providing a wide range of secured funding facilities for individuals and businesses as well as competitive deposit accounts for individuals, businesses and charities. It is known as "an entrepreneurial and pragmatic specialist lender, driven to understand our customers’ needs".
With dedicated divisions providing asset finance, motor finance, bridging finance, development finance, specialised mortgages, and structured finance, UTB’s in-depth knowledge combined with commercial awareness, means that it can claim with some justification to be “the lender of choice for finance brokers, developers and individuals seeking a high quality, bespoke service”.
